A shocking case of child smuggling has come to light after a 23-year-old Zimbabwean man, Arnold Nyoni, was arrested and charged with transporting four children from Zimbabwe into South Africa via Botswana.
The children, three boys and a girl aged between nine and 15, were found without proper identification when Nyoni was apprehended at a petrol station in Matsiloje. Authorities were alerted, and Nyoni was taken into custody, pending further investigation.
The children are currently being cared for at a local police shelter, while authorities work to locate their parents and determine the circumstances surrounding their transportation.
