The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) Appeals Committee has upheld the ruling of the Northern Region Soccer League Disciplinary Committee (DC), dismissing Karoi United’s appeal. This decision paves the way for Scotland to participate in the Premier Soccer League (PSL) next year.
The saga began when Karoi United lodged a complaint against Scotland, alleging that they had fielded an ineligible player. The Northern Region Soccer League DC ruled in favor of Scotland, and Karoi United subsequently appealed the decision. However, the ZIFA Appeals Committee has now upheld the original ruling, bringing an end to the dispute.
With the appeal dismissed, Scotland’s promotion to the PSL has been confirmed. The team, owned by businessman Pedzai Scott Sakupwanya, will now prepare to compete against the best teams in Zimbabwean football.
