Tinopona Katsande, also known as Tin Tin, is a celebrated Zimbabwean actress, radio and television personality, and model born on May 3, 1979, in Mutoko, Zimbabwe. She began her career in modeling, winning Miss Mutare in 1997 and becoming a finalist in Miss Zimbabwe the same year. She further honed her skills in California, USA, before returning to Zimbabwe in 1999 to work as a presenter on the breakfast show AM Zimbabwe, which led to her acting debut. She gained national recognition for her role as Joyce Huni in the popular soap opera Studio 263 and later appeared in the drama Kuchina the Genesis.
In her media career, Tinopona has worked as a disc jockey and on-air personality at ZiFM Stereo. She is also a committed philanthropist, founding the NGO SpeakOut-Handinyarare, which advocates for victims of domestic abuse. Her personal life includes marriage to Virimai Chigariro, with whom she has a son, and she has publicly shared her experiences with domestic violence to raise awareness.
