A tragic accident claimed the lives of a couple from Entumbane suburb in Bulawayo on Saturday evening. Bekithemba Tshuma (35) was driving along Nketa Drive with his wife, Tsvangirai Lorraine (25), when he reportedly lost control of their white Toyota Corolla and crashed into a tree.
The couple was pronounced dead at the scene. According to Bulawayo police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Nomalanga Msebele, preliminary investigations suggest the vehicle may have been speeding at the time of the crash. Further inquiries are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the accident.
The bodies were taken to United Bulawayo Hospitals (UBH) for post-mortem examinations. The incident has left the community in shock, highlighting the importance of road safety and responsible driving.
