A Chitungwiza woman, Margaret Rachel Kachave, 33, has given birth to quintuplets at Karanda Mission Hospital. The miraculous delivery, which took place prematurely at seven months, consisted of three boys and two girls. This brings Kachave’s total number of children to seven, having previously given birth to twins. Her husband, Valetta Nyamupfukudza, 32, expressed his amazement at the birth, saying, “I am yet to believe this miracle.”
The Africa Twins Association (ATA) has congratulated the family and praised the hospital staff for their exceptional care during the delivery. The ATA presidents, Farai Lawyer Katonha and Tendai Mayor Katonha, commended Karanda Mission Hospital for its commitment to quality healthcare, particularly in obstetrics and surgical care. They highlighted the importance of healthcare services in extraordinary circumstances like these.
The ATA has also called for government intervention to support families in similar situations. The association’s leaders praised the medical team’s expertise in ensuring the safety of the premature babies.
