A dramatic incident occurred at a rail/road level crossing in Kadoma last night when a lorry carrying sand lost control and rammed into a passing train. The incident took place at around 2350hrs, and according to eyewitnesses, the driver and his passenger jumped off the truck just in time, leaving it to collide with the last two wagons of the train.
The two men were rushed to hospital for treatment, but fortunately, their injuries were not serious, and they were discharged after receiving medical attention. The cause of the incident is believed to be a loss of control of the lorry as it approached the level crossing.
