The Jordan Zemura Foundation has donated a solar-powered borehole to Gumbanjera Secondary School in Murehwa, bringing relief to the school and surrounding community. The borehole will enable learners and staff to access clean water easily, ending their water woes. Previously, they had to walk 7 km to fetch water.

The donation is part of Jordan Zemura’s efforts to give back to his community. Zemura, a Zimbabwean international footballer, has also renovated the classroom blocks at the school, improving the learning environment. The foundation’s initiative has created a positive impact on the community, with potential to support school projects in horticulture, poultry, and animal husbandry.
The solar-powered borehole will benefit not only the school but also nearby households. The project demonstrates the positive impact that individuals can have on their communities, especially in areas struggling with basic necessities like clean water. The donation is a testament to Zemura’s commitment to making a difference in the lives of those in need.
