Former Warriors and Manica Diamonds player Kuda Mahachi has been ordered by Bulawayo magistrate Shepherd Mnjanja to pay $320 per month in maintenance for his two children. Mahachi’s ex-wife Marita Ndlovu had taken him to court, seeking $620 monthly for the upkeep of their kids. However, Mahachi disputed paternity of the younger child, leading to the court’s decision to order DNA tests.

The DNA test results will determine whether Mahachi’s maintenance obligations will be adjusted. If the test confirms Mahachi as the biological father, the maintenance amount may be increased. Conversely, if the test clears him, his obligation to pay for that child will be scrapped.
Mahachi will cover the costs of the DNA test. The court also ruled that Mahachi and Ndlovu will share school fees and other education-related expenses for the children.
