A teacher at Milton High School, a boys-only institution in Bulawayo, has been arrested and suspended from duty on allegations of sodomizing nine male students. Tyson Lunga, who also serves as a preacher at a prominent Pentecostal church in Bulawayo, allegedly committed the abuse at one of the school’s hostels where he resided.
According to reports, Lunga is accused of buying burgers for the Form One and Two boys after the alleged abuse in an attempt to silence them. The Primary and Secondary Education Ministry has confirmed Lunga’s suspension, with spokesman Taungana Ndoro verifying the development.
The number of affected students may be higher, as more boys are expected to come forward with additional allegations against Lunga. The police in Bulawayo have confirmed the arrest, and investigations are ongoing.
