Nicole Dube, a 22-year-old woman from New Parklands in Bulawayo, was arrested for allegedly stealing a Toyota Tundra valued at US$70,000 and US$1,000 in cash from a 37-year-old man she had spent the night with. The incident reportedly happened on July 15, 2025, following a one-night stand at the complainant’s Khumalo home.

According to Inspector Nomalanga Msebele, the man picked up Nicole in Parklands around 4 PM that day, and after exchanging romantic intentions, they went to his residence where they ate, drank beer, and later went to sleep around 10 PM. While the man was fast asleep, Nicole allegedly took his wallet containing US$1,000 and the keys to his motor vehicle. She then left with the car.

The complainant discovered both Nicole and his car missing at about midnight and also found that a surrounding durawall had been damaged. Later, through an anonymous tip-off, he was informed that his vehicle had crashed into a slab and was stuck near a traffic light close to Chicken Inn Tredgold. He managed to recover the crashed vehicle, but Nicole was nowhere to be found.

At around 2 AM, Nicole reportedly returned to the man’s residence by taxi and attempted to steal another vehicle, a BMW parked in the yard. She managed to start the car’s engine but was disturbed by the gardener, who raised the alarm. The complainant came outside and apprehended Nicole, then took her to the police for arrest. The total value of stolen property is estimated at US$71,000, with the car valued at US$70,000. Inspector Msebele has cautioned the public to be vigilant about whom they associate with, warning of potential hidden motives behind some interactions. Nicole Dube is expected to appear in court to face charges related to the theft of the motor vehicle and cash.
