Portia Tsivai Tapi, 39, has been arrested by Matrix Agents today in connection with the alleged rape of a 16-year-old boy in 2024. The victim was reportedly infected with a sexually transmitted infection (STI) following the incident. Tapi was employed as a maid in Rusape, Zimbabwe, at the time the alleged offense occurred.

Authorities confirm that Tapi is currently being detained at Mabvuku Police Station. The arrest comes after an investigation into the serious allegations, which have drawn significant attention, particularly given the age of the alleged victim and the legal age of consent in Zimbabwe, which was raised to 18 years in January 2024.
