Dynamos Football Club has drastically increased player winning bonuses by over 300 percent in a bid to avoid relegation from the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League. The club is now offering US$350–US$400 as winning bonuses, a move aimed at boosting players’ morale and motivation. A new partner has reportedly stepped in to support the struggling giants in their relegation battle.

The Glamour Boys are currently languishing near the bottom of the PSL table, with just 16 points from 23 games. With only 11 games remaining, they are eight points adrift of safety, and relegation is a genuine threat for the 21-time league champions. The club has changed coaches twice this season, with Zambian pastor-cum-coach Kelvin Kaindu brought in to take over the reins in a last-ditch attempt to change the club’s fortunes.
In addition to financial incentives, Dynamos has also hired a team of psychologists to work with players on their mental strength and morale. Executive Chairman Moses Maunganidze acknowledged the crisis and laid out the club’s survival strategy, emphasizing that the club has never missed a payment to players. The club hopes that this renewed focus on psychology and performance rewards will help steer them away from the relegation zone.
