The funeral of former Zimbabwe international Tendai Ndoro will be held at his childhood home in Nketa 8, Bulawayo, following his death in Sandton, South Africa. His mother, Christina Mukundwa, confirmed that the ceremony will take place at house number 1976, where Ndoro was raised. Arrangements are underway to repatriate his body, with mourners gathering to honour the striker who once lit up stadiums across Africa and the Middle East.

Ndoro’s football journey began in Luveve, Bulawayo, before he made his professional debut with Nico United in Botswana in 2009. He rose to prominence at Chicken Inn and later moved to South Africa, where he played for Cape Town City and Orlando Pirates. His career also included stints with Al-Faisaly in Saudi Arabia, Ajax Cape Town, Highlands Park, and Al-Orouba in Oman. Despite health challenges, including surgery for a tumour in May 2025, Ndoro remained a respected figure in Zimbabwean football.

In recent years, Ndoro faced public scrutiny following his divorce from Thando Maseko in 2022, with rumours suggesting financial loss and property disputes. He refuted these claims in a 2024 interview, stating the separation was amicable and assets were divided fairly. “I didn’t lose anything, she didn’t take anything,” he said. Ndoro’s legacy as a gifted forward and his resilience off the pitch continue to resonate with fans and fellow athletes across the region.
