Veteran Zimbabwean educationist Colleta Zabuya has received the Lifetime Achievement Award in Global Education Leadership at the World Leaders Summit, held at the University of Oxford. The ceremony, hosted by Global Empire Events, brought together 240 delegates from 30 countries, including UK mayors, entrepreneurs, and members of the House of Lords. The award was presented by Oxford’s Lord Mayor, Councillor Louise Upton.

Zabuya, who has served in education for over three decades, described the honour as a validation of her lifelong commitment to equity and empowerment in learning. Her work has focused on ensuring that every child, regardless of background, has access to transformative education.

She dedicated the award to the teachers, students, and communities she has served, reaffirming her mission to advocate for youth and collaborate with global partners to make education a universal right.
