Professor Gift Mehlana, a distinguished Zimbabwean scientist and academic, has been honored with the 2025 TWAS-Atta-ur-Rahman Award in Chemistry for his outstanding contributions to the development of porous materials as platforms for biological and chemical catalysts.The award was conferred during the 17th World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) Conference, held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The annual accolade, supported by the United Nations, recognizes exceptional scientists from the developing world whose research advances scientific knowledge and sustainable technologies.
