Known for his unwavering commitment to service, Munowenyu has carved a name for himself in the healthcare sector through Discovery Ambulance Services, a company he founded to revolutionize emergency medical response in Zimbabwe.
Growing up in the high-density suburbs of Mutare, David’s early life was marked by modest means but rich in ambition. He was raised in a community where access to healthcare was limited, and witnessing the struggles of those around him planted the seeds of purpose. Determined to make a difference, he pursued his education with grit, eventually entering the healthcare space not as a doctor, but as a disruptor—someone who would change how emergency services are delivered in the country.
In 2020, he launched Discovery Ambulance Services, a private emergency medical provider that quickly gained national attention for its professionalism, rapid response, and community outreach. Under his leadership, the company expanded its fleet and services, becoming a trusted name in both urban and rural areas. In 2024, Discovery Ambulance was named Fastest Growing Business of the Year at the Zimbabwe Business Awards, a testament to Munowenyu’s strategic vision and operational excellence.
