Job Description:

Impact Hub Harare seeks a reliable, experienced Project Driver to support transportation logistics for staff, partners, and project activities across project locations. The role ensures safe, timely, and efficient transport services in compliance with organizational policies.

Responsibilities:

Safely operate and maintain project vehicles for staff, partners, and goods.

Ensure timely transportation for project-related activities, meetings, and events.

Perform routine vehicle checks (oil, tyres, fuel, etc.) and report maintenance needs.

Adhere to traffic laws, safety protocols, and organizational policies.

Assist with logistics such as deliveries and errands as needed.

Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and fuel consumption in the vehicle log sheet to the administrator.

Support administrative tasks such as document distribution and minor office duties.

Keep note of and timely report, in writing, to the administrator on vehicle routine maintenance and service.

Ensure that the vehicle is used for the intended or assigned purpose in accordance with prior authorization given by the supervisor.

Ensure that the vehicle safety belt is functional and always used by self and passengers onboard.

Follow up on vehicle-related issues with the police and insurance companies as instructed.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum five years’ working experience in a similar role within the NGO sector.

Clean driving record and knowledge of Zimbabwean road networks.

Valid defensive driver’s license.

Basic auto mechanic skills.

Strong knowledge of locations of interest in Harare, Bulawayo, Masvingo, Manicaland, and Matabeleland North Province.

Strong ability to communicate in English.

Ability to communicate in both basic Shona and Ndebele is an added advantage.

Strong interpersonal skills.
