Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients
Monitor, assess, and document patients’ conditions accurately
Operate and manage ICU equipment, including ventilators and monitors
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Collaborate effectively with doctors and the multidisciplinary team
Ensure compliance with infection prevention, patient safety and hospital protocols
Support patients’ families through effective communication and education
Key Competencies
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
High level of professionalism, compassion and ethical practice
Good organisational and time management skills
Diploma or Degree in General Nursing
Post Basic Qualification in Intensive Care Nursing
Current registration with the Nurses Council of Zimbabwe (NCZ)
Minimum of 2–3 years’ ICU experience in a hospital setting
Sound knowledge of critical care procedures and equipment
Strong clinical judgment, communication and teamwork skills
