“We still wish this is a bad prank or a nightmare we could wake up from” – Chigova Family

The family of the late former Dynamos and Zimbabwean Warriors goal keeper George Chigova has issued a statement through their family spokesperson Godfrey Bakasa concerning the demise of the Soccer star.

The Statement read:
“It steel feels unreal. We still wish this is a bad prank or a nightmare we could Wake up from. On November 15 our lives changed for the worst, we lost our rock.

George Chigova was a husband, father, friend and colleague. He was beloved member of the soccer community and a man of deep faith. George was a product of his thoughts. What he set to do he would achieve.

We are still processing the events of the past few days and in this time we appeal for your compassion, space and time to congregate as a family to decide on the next step.

We thank you for the love and support you have shown us thus far.

Keep us in your prayers. God bless you all”

Chigova who was 32, died after collapsing at his home in South Africa on Wednesday.

He was playing for SuperSport United in South Africa.
