4 Children trapped in a car and suffocated

Four children, all aged between three and four, tragically lost their lives due to suffocation after unintentionally locking themselves inside a stationary car in a neighborhood in Harare. The incident occurred while the children were playing close to the vehicle. They entered the vehicle and then became unable to exit on their own. Despite efforts to rescue them, the children were discovered lifeless as temperatures rose to 29°C (84°F) in the CBD.

The young victims were named as Allen Busiri (3), Anotidaishe Mutize (4), Ashley Matowe (3), and Kudzaishe Tsuro (3). This heartbreaking occurrence serves as a reminder of the dangers of leaving children unattended in or even around vehicles, emphasizing the critical importance of parental vigilance and supervision. Parents and caregivers must ensure that children are not left unattended too long as such situations of children trapped in a car can quickly turn tragic.
