Following a successful appeal, the High Court has overturned Oscar Pambuka’s conviction and sentence. Pambuka had been sentenced to thirty months in prison for his involvement in a public relations deal where he was accused of defrauding the Zimbabwe Power Company of US$12,000.
His lawyer, Panashe Sagwete, managed to secure this positive outcome through the appeal process.Justices Pisirayi Kwenda and Benjamin Chikowero presided over the case and made the decision to nullify Pambuka’s conviction and sentence.
