Popular Nollywood Actor John Okafor, known as Mr. Ibu, Passes Away at Age 62Renowned Nollywood actor John Okafor, widely recognized as Mr. Ibu, has tragically passed away. Okafor had been battling an illness since October 2023 and ultimately succumbed to cardiac arrest on Saturday, March 2, at Evercare Hospital in Lekki.
He had been transferred to the intensive care unit just a few days before his passing. Emeka Rollas, the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, has also confirmed the actor’s death. Okafor, aged 62, had faced various health struggles, including the amputation of his leg last year.
