The students, numbering seventeen in total, are eager to not only exhibit their skills but also learn about the latest trends in robotics, from coding to designing mechanisms and engineering. Mr. Matanga emphasizes the importance of innovation and modernization, in alignment with the National Development Strategy 1, urging schools to prioritize student-generated ideas and creativity.

Having previously achieved success on the global robotics stage, including a gold medal win at the First Global Robotics competitions in Geneva, Switzerland, the team approaches the Milan event with confidence and determination. Their ultimate goal is to secure victory at the Italian league, with the potential to advance to international competitions in the United States.

Participating in the First Tech robotics challenge under the STEM program opens up new avenues of learning and growth for the students. From attending seminars to interacting with industry professionals, the experience promises to shape their future career paths within the STEM field.

Zoey Chibune, a Form 4 student from Tynwald, expresses her excitement for the upcoming challenge, highlighting the valuable skills learned during the preparation phase. With a focus on coding and operating robotic components, the team is poised to make a mark and strive for excellence in the competition.

The journey to Milan represents a culmination of dedication, hard work, and a shared passion for robotics among the students, mentors, and supporters. As they strive to make their mark on the global stage once again, the team remains steadfast in their pursuit of success and innovation in the realm of STEM education.
