Happy Global money week! Global money week is an annual global awareness-raising campaign on the importance of ensuring that young people, from an early age, are financially aware. This year’s theme is “Protect your money, secure your future.” On that note let’s talk about some ways that we can save more money and get the most our of earnings. How do you save money?

Now, I know what you’re thinking, “I have a black thumb, I can barely keep a cactus alive, let alone a garden.” Or probably you feel you dont have time, or you dont have a big enough space. Give it a try. Not only will you save money on buying tomatoes, veggies and onions every other day, but you’ll also have the satisfaction of fresh readily available produce. Plant some strawberries while your at it too.😉

Next on our list of money-saving hacks is the trusty lunchbox. Yes, that’s right, packing your own lunch for work instead of buying the chips or burger or sadza from the restaurants every day. It might seem like just $2 but it accumulates to a lot if done everyday. Pack some leftovers from home and and your good to go for lunch.

If you’ve ever thought, “But I have no self-control when it comes to spending money, I need help!” Then I have the solution for you.  The piggy bank/ money tin.
