Vimbai Masiyiwa in Africa Forbes 30 under 30

Vimbai Masiyiwa has made it to the of FORBES AFRICA’s 30 Under 30 list. She is part of the class of 2024 driven by impact, leading by example and leaving an indelible path for the changemakers to come.

For a decade now, Forbes Africa has uncovered the unmistakable potential and talent pool that exists on a continent boasting the world’s youngest population.

Vimbai Masiyiwa, the daughter of Zimbabwean billionaire Strive Masiyiwa, the “glam philanthropist”, has been an accomplished entrepreneur since 2019. While working on her UCL Masters degree, the 29-year-old, who “inherited her father’s work ethic”, created Batoka Hospitality – a luxury hotel group developing local entrepreneurship in Zimbabwe.

Vimbai Masiyiwa, the daughter of Zimbabwean billioanire Strive Masiyiwa, the “glam philanthropist”, has been an accomplished entrepreneur since 2019. While working on her UCL Masters degree, the 29-year-old, who “inherited her father’s work ethic”, created Batoka Hospitality – a luxury hotel group developing local entrepreneurship in Zimbabwe.

As the CEO and Creative Director at Batoka Hospitality Group, she wishes to use hospitality and tourism to create sustainable livelihoods and local economic growth, alleviate poverty and get people to a place where they can live at a decent human level.

With Vimbai at the helm, Bakota Hospitality Group is also the first black female-owned Safari Lodge group in Africa.
