Khama Billiat has finally scored his first league goal for Yadah, scoring in the 64th minute to clinch a draw against the defending league champions, Ngezi Platinum Stars, at Baobab Stadium yesterday.

The team’s star acquisition delivered his best performance of the season, assisting Evans Rusike’s goal in the 2nd minute and subsequently creating numerous opportunities for his team. This match also marked Rusike’s first goal since joining the club owned by Walter Magaya last month.

Ngezi Platinum Stars opened the scoring with a penalty at the 10-minute mark, successfully taken by Qadr Amini following Takunda Benhura’s foul inside the box. Yadah’s coach Ruzive expressed his delight at Billiat’s milestone.

“I’m very happy for him; I’ve been anticipating this moment. Let’s hope this marks the beginning of greater achievements for him. Khama is an exceptional player, and his talent should propel us towards our objectives for the season.”

This draw lifted Ngezi Platinum out of the relegation zone to the 13th spot, accumulating 8 points out of a possible 24. Yadah, trailing by a point, remains in the relegation zone, positioned 16th.
