According to authorities, Mutenha’s modus operandi involved deceiving unsuspecting clients and subsequently selling their vehicles without their consent. Moreover, he would make threats, invoking names of very influential people, including members of the First Family such as Emmerson Jnr, Sean and Collins Mnangagwa and other big names like Scott Sakupwanya.

Speaking on the matter, a spokesperson for the VID VTS emphasised the gravity of the charges against Chimpa and reaffirmed the department’s commitment to ensuring justice for the victims.
