Phil Chard was born on October 25, 1987, in Harare, Zimbabwe. He spent his childhood in Harare, where he was raised by his parents and developed a passion for creativity and innovation.

Chard attended St. George’s College, a prestigious boys’ school in Harare, where he excelled academically and developed a strong foundation in business and marketing. After completing his high school education, he pursued a degree in marketing and business management at the University of Zimbabwe.

Upon graduating from university, Chard began his career in marketing and advertising, working for several agencies and brands in Zimbabwe. In 2012, he co-founded Point Black Africa, a digital advertising and content marketing agency that has since grown to become one of the leading digital marketing firms in Africa.

In addition to his work at Point Black Africa, Chard is also a co-host of the popular podcast “2 Broke Twimbos,” which discusses various topics related to Zimbabwean culture, politics, and society. He is also a regular blogger on the Point Black website, where he shares his insights and expertise on digital marketing and content creation.

Throughout his career, Chard has been recognized for his contributions to the marketing and advertising industry. He was named one of the 100 most inspiring African entrepreneurs by the African Founders Conglomerate and has won numerous awards for his work in digital marketing.
