Zimbabwean National Arrested for Brutal Shooting of Sasko Employees During Robbery

In a shocking incident that has left the community reeling, Martin Mungayi, a Zimbabwean national, has been arrested and charged with the violent robbery and shooting of Sasko employees in Delft, Cape Town. The tragic event resulted in the loss of two lives, with a third employee critically injured.

According to eyewitness accounts and police reports, the Sasko employees were carrying out a routine bread delivery in the area when Martin and an accomplice, whose identity is yet to be disclosed, approached the delivery truck. The suspects, armed and masked, demanded cash and valuables from the employees before opening fire, leaving two dead and one fighting for their life.

The victims, whose names have not been released, were reportedly shot at close range, with witnesses describing the scene as “horrific.” The injured employee was rushed to a nearby hospital, where they remain in critical condition.

Martin, who was identified through surveillance footage and eyewitness accounts, was arrested while attempting to flee the country. He was found in possession of a firearm and stolen goods, including cash and personal belongings of the victims.
