1. South Africa – $33 million
2. Egypt – $30 million
3. Nigeria – $27 million
4. Zimbabwe – $13 million
5. Morocco – $13 million
6. Kenya – $9 million

8. Sudan – $4 million
9. Cameroon – $4 million

Note: Nigeria has the largest music industry in Africa, with more songs breaking through the continental and international markets. However, South Africa generates the most revenue due to:

1. A well-structured music industry that collects royalties fairly.
2. Government bodies that monitor and ban pirated and illegal distributions.
