Colonel Miniyothabo Baloyi-Chiwenga, the wife of Vice President Constantino Chiwenga, has been robbed at her electronics shop in Sam Levy’s Village, Borrowdale, Harare. The break-in resulted in the theft of mobile phones worth $13,420.
Four suspects, Blessed Luciano, Isaac Craig Chaza, Strive Matangira, and Succeed Mukaro, were arrested on June 3, 2025, by detectives from the CID in Borrowdale. Most of the stolen mobile phones have been recovered, according to national police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi.
This incident follows a series of high-profile robberies in the country this year. The police have acted swiftly, and the investigation is ongoing.
