The charges stem from activities linked to Magaya’s companies, Planet Africa (Pvt) Ltd and Yadah Connect, which prosecutors say were used to solicit funds under false pretenses. Tensions ran high in the courtroom as journalists were ordered to leave following a request for the rape charges to be heard in private due to the sensitive nature of the evidence.

The case has sent shockwaves across Zimbabwe, with many awaiting further revelations as proceedings continue. Today’s appearance is expected to delve deeper into the allegations, as the court weighs the evidence against one of the country’s most prominent religious figures.
