Pindie Nyandoro is a distinguished Zimbabwean banker and finance expert with a career spanning over three decades, marked by leadership roles and contributions to economic growth and development in Southern Africa. She began her finance career in 1991 at Standard Chartered Bank and later joined Standard Bank Africa, where she served as Regional Chief Executive for South Central Region from 2002 to 2021. Notably, she was the CEO of Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe starting in 2002, becoming one of the top female executives in Zimbabwe’s banking sector.

Nyandoro holds a non-practising law background, combining legal expertise with extensive banking and investment experience. She has been a director and board member for various banks across Southern Africa, including Stanbic Bank entities in Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia, Namibia, Lesotho, and Swaziland. Throughout her career, she has been passionate about driving economic growth and supporting development in emerging markets. In recent years, Pindie Nyandoro transitioned to development finance, taking on the role of Regional Director for Southern Africa at Norfund, the Norwegian Investment Fund for Developing Countries. In this role, she oversees investment portfolios in six countries: Zambia, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, and Eswatini. She has expressed enthusiasm for this position, which aligns with her long-standing admiration for development finance institutions and her interest in their impact-driven mandate.

Norfund, founded by the Norwegian Parliament in 1997, operates with investment capital from the Norwegian state budget and focuses on developmental impact investments.
